How Bosnia votes

Three general elections side by side, from the Central Election Commission’s count: 2018, 2022 and, once counted, 2026. This part is the map of the series; each part after it answers one question.

Preliminary 202695.5% of polling stations counted, as of October 05, 2026, 07:00 am. Votes by post and absentee ballots are not in yet, and seats are allocated only once the count is certified, so seat charts still compare 2018 and 2022.

The answer

Every voter fills in four ballots. In the Federation: one member of the Presidency (Bosniak or Croat, the voter’s choice), the State House, the Federation House and a cantonal assembly. In the Republika Srpska: the Serb member, the State House, the National Assembly and the RS president.
